Shylocks (money suckers) at CPC claim OT despite fuel dearth!

It is reported that nearly Rs. 400 million has been paid this month to the employees at the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) as overtime allowances.

This comes despite the fact that the CPC is in a state of bankruptcy due to continuous losses.

The weekend newspaper "Sathi Aga Aruna" reports that although the CPC had informed its employees only to report for work on 03 days a week due to the prevailing economic situation, they had opted to do so on Friday, Saturday and Sunday hoping to get Over Time allowances.

The massive OT payments are also made despite the CPC drastically cutting back on its distribution activities.
