40 students at a Matale school hospitalised

About 40 students of a popular girls’ college in Matale have been hospitalised due to a sudden illness this morning (15).

The students have been admitted to the Matale General Hospital.

It was reported that some of the hospitalised students had taken part in a volleyball tournament held in Wennapua yesterday (14).

Hospital sources said that the students are showing symptoms such as fever, vomiting and headache.
