Morocco shock Portugal 1-0 to become first African nation ever in FIFA World Cup semis

The FIFA World Cup produced yet another shocker as Morocco became the first African nation ever to enter the semifinals, hanging on grimly to a one-goal lead for more than half of the match and sending heavily favoured Portugal crashing out 1-0.

Youssef En-Nesyri banged in a header a few minutes before halftime as Portuguese goalkeeper Diogo Costa misjudged a high pass fired into the box.

Portugal threw everything they had into attack in the second half and there were many heart-stopping moments for the African nation before fulltime was blown.
