Sampanthan, TNA MP M.A. Sumanthiran and Attorney General Jayantha Jayasuriya.Atukorale explained the measures taken by the government to address the grievances of those who had been detained. Atukorale’s predecessor Wijeyadasa Rajapakse too had repeatedly denied having political prisoners.
