Police fire tear gas to disperse protestors in Kelaniya - democracy being crushed in Srilanka

Police have fired tear gas and used water cannons to disperse protestors who blocked the Kandy Road near the Kelaniya University at Dalugama, Kelaniya, a short while ago, the police said.

Meanwhile, six including four Buddhist monks have been arrested during the protest, according to the Police Media Division.
