Over 100,000 eggs dumped in Walpaluva Forest Reserve in Puttalam by wholesale egg producers

The Minister of Trade says that a request has been made to the police to probe into the incident where over 100,000 eggs were discovered in a reserve close to Puttalam.

The Minister says that the relevant complaint was initially received by the Consumer Affairs Authority.

Over 100,000 eggs were found yesterday in the Walpaluva Reserve in Maha Kumbuk Kada, Puttalam.

The Puttalam District Consumer Affairs Authority says that the wholesale egg producers have dumped the spoiled eggs that were piled up to be sold at a higher price.
