Court order halts recruiting graduates to Teaching profession

The Competitive Examination for the Recruitment of Graduates from the Public Service to the Teaching Profession for vacancies existing in Sinhala, Tamil, and English Medium in National and Provincial Schools of the Island—2023—will not be held following a Supreme Court decision.

The Examination Commissioner General H.J.M.C. Amith Jayasundara said the examination was scheduled to be held on Friday (25).

He said the date for re-conducting the examination will be announced following the decision given by the Supreme Court.

The notice of the call for applications for the above competitive examination was published in the Government Gazette dated January 27, 2023.
