Local milk powder price to reduce

The Local Milk Powder Producers Association said measures have been taken to reduce the price of local milk powder from Monday (03).

Chairman Ariyasiri Vithanage said the price was revised to provide relief to the people, as informed by the Consumer Affairs Authority.

He said the revised prices will be announced shortly.

Meanwhile, the Milk Powder Importers Association said imported milk powder will be released to the market under revised prices from Monday (03).

The price of a 1kg packet of imported milk powder was reduced by Rs.200 and the price of a 400g packet was reduced by Rs.80 from Saturday (01).
