Govt.'s coalitional parties were attacked by SLPP's politburo as 'international conspiracy'
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) 's constitutional parties-led ruling coalition have been accused of conspiring against the Government.
According to the SLPP, the 10 constituent parties including Government Ministers Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila, and Vasudeva Nanayakkara had sought a lockdown in a public letter despite agreeing not to lockdown the country during the weekly cabinet meeting.
SLPP General Secretary and MP Sagara Kariyawasam told reporters today that President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has been urged to look into a letter signed by the leaders of the 10 constituent parties.
Speaking during the press conference Minister Gamini Lokuge said that there could be an international conspiracy behind this.
