Nude pic blackmail scam - Two youth arrested !

Two men have been arrested after they allegedly tried to extort money from a woman threatening to post manipulated naked pictures of her to Social Media.

Embilipitiya police have launched and inquiry based on a complaint received and have been able to apprehend the suspects on Friday (27). Preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspects have collected these photos of the woman through Facebook.

Police have seized two computers and two mobile phones belonging to the suspects.

The arrested suspects are aged between 20 and 23 and are residents of Polonnaruwa and Angoda areas.

The suspects will be produced before the Embilipitiya Magistrat
