Husband and wife mudered ?

More details have been uncovered regarding the two burned bodies that were found inside a fire-destroyed 2-storey house in Janatha Mawatha, Eldeniya, Kadawatha.  They were a married couple, aged 53 and 57 years.   Police say that the woman’s arms were chained and suspect that the husband may have tied her up and set himself on fire.   Neighbours have informed police they heard a woman’s screams at the time the house went up in flames around 4.30 am on 28 August.   The postmortem will be conducted today (30) at the Ragama Teaching Hospital.
