Indigenous persons in 1200 number afflicted with Covid-19

Uruwarige Muthubanda, son of the Vedda (indigenous) leader stated that nearly 1200 among his community in Dambana are infected with Covid-19.Elaborating further to the media, he said that they were from 46 families and home quarantined. He added that ever since Covid-19 appeared in Dambana, medical teams have been providing constant support.The wife of the Vedda leader passed away yesterday (5) due to Covid-19.
