Consumer Affairs Chief exposes major corruption scandals, to resign due to life threats
The Executive Director of the Consumer Affairs Authority Thushan Gunawardena in an exclusive interview with journalist Chamuditha Samarawickrama has exposed several major corruption issues pertaining to Lanka Sathosa and the Consumer Affaires Ministry that are currently taking place.
The Private sector business leader who was appointed to the position by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa soon after his victory, says that he will be resigning from the position soon due to the various threats he received, including life threats.
Saying corruption is a deep rooted matter in institutions like Lanka Sathosa, he said there are many major corruptions that are taking place.
He also blamed subject Ministers Bandula Gunawardane and Lasantha Alagiyawanna over their conduct. (NewsWire)
