Naval commandos in action in Pointpedro sea area! 23 Indian fishermen under arrest!! Two boats seized .

It was reported that yesterday evening there has been a clash between Indian infiltrated fishermen and Srilankan in Pointpedro sea area.

Following this Srilankan Navy commandos rushed to the spot to arrest 23 Indian fishermen and seized two boats.

Arrested Indian fishermen were taken to Kankesanthurai Naval Base and after doing antigen test on them, it is said they would be handed over to Department of Aquatic Resources for further action.
