Birthday party at Anuradhapura Presidential House for 2000! No restrictions of Covid followed ?

A birthday party had been hosted at the Presidential House in Anuradhapura on Nov. 19 with the participation of around 2,000, Samagi Jana Balawega MP Harshana Rajakaruna had charged in Parliament. 

"As an extension of celebrations, a lunch was hosted for another 2,000 yesterday... Is this what is meant by One Country One Law?," he asked.

The SJB MP had said this in response to minister Prasanna Ranatunga's request to conduct PCR tests on all SJB MPs after Parliamentarian Mano Ganesan tested positive for Covid-19 earlier this week.

Minister Prasanna also pointed out that many opposition members in the House also do not wear facemasks.
