No more milk tea at canteens!

The All Island Canteen Owners Association has decided to halt serving milk tea at cafeterias. 

Speaking to media, President of the association - Asela Sampath has said that the price of a milk tea is currently at Rs. 60 and they cannot increase it anymore. Therefore, with today's milk powder price hike, they had decided to stop serving milk tea altogether. 

He pointed out that many cafeterias have already stopped serving milk tea due to the prevailing milk powder shortage.Earlier today (30), it was announced that the Milk Powder Importer’s Association has decided to increase the price of milk powder with effect from midnight.
