No busses by tomorrow?
The Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association says that private bus services will be disrupted by tomorrow, as a result of the prevailing fuel crisis in the country.
Speaking to the media, the President of the All Ceylon Private Bus Owners' Association Gemunu Wijeratne said that it is a serious situation that buses have to wait in queues during the day, paying the bus driver and conductor.
"Having to wait in the queues and in the end if there is no diesel, it is better to leave the busses at home,” he said.
He said that while they expected diesel to be provided through the SLTB depots, so far this has not happened.
Therefore, he warned that the busses that are currently operating would stop by tomorrow.
