Year 5 scholarship results out today!

Sources at the Department of Examinations stated that they hope to release the results of the Year 5 scholarship examination within the course of the day (13).

340,508 students sat for the examination this year.

85,440 of those were from the Tamil medium.

Further, the Department added that the 2nd stage of paper marking of the AL examination will commence from next Friday.

Examinations Commissioner General L.M.J. Dharmasena stated that this will take place till the 31st of March.

Around 10,000 teachers will be allocated for paper marking.

The Examinations Commissioner General stated that AL results will be released within 3 months.
