UNHRC gives red light to government; Galle Face protest going strong!

The UN Human Rights Council has informed the Sri Lankan government that it should give an assurance to ensure the human rights of peaceful protesters, ‘Ada Derana’ had reported.

The UNHRC had also condemned the tear gas attacks on the protesters.

The protest against the government is still continuing close to Galle Face.

People from various parts of the country have come together to stage a protest opposite the Presidential Secretariat premises since yesterday (9) morning.
