UN - US concerned about Rambukkana violence

UN Resident Coordinator in Sri Lanka - Hanaa Singer says she is deeply concerned by reports of harm to protestors in Rambukkana and that violence by any party involved hinders the rights of all peaceful protesters.

Meanwhile, US ambassador to Sri Lanka - Julie Chung has also called for a full, transparent investigation while upholding the people’s right to peaceful protest.
