Parliament postponed to May 17 in this critical situation facing the country

The Speaker has proposed to postpone Parliament to May 17, amid objections raised by the Opposition.

Speaker informs Parliament that a report will be called from the IGP regarding Police firing tear gas at a group of university students at the Parliament Roundabout

Parliament adjourned 

Parliament has been adjourned for 10 minutes after a heated situation took place in parliament with the opposition demanding a date for the No Confidence Motion to be taken up.

The MPs demanded the Speaker to return to the Chamber and decide on a date.

Meanwhile, a tense situation is also happening outside Parliament with IUSF protestors attempting to breach the barricades in front of the Parliament entrance.

The IUSF protest was tear gassed and water cannons were also deployed.
