Was told PM will resign today - Jagath Kumara

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna MP Jagath Kumara has said that they were informed that the Prime Minister would resign after making a special statement today (09). 

He stated this en route to a function at Temple Trees. 

Noting that he stood in the side of the people, the MP agreed with the reporter that it was far better for the PM to resign rather than being forced to step down after a No Confidence Motion. 

However, he said that he is unaware what decision the PM will take in this regard.
