May 09, 2022 MynaGoGama attacked after MR's speech- Being the culprit of the violence upon peaceful protesters ?

The MynaGoGama protest site opposite Temple Trees has been attacked by a group moments after Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa addressed the SLPP Local Government Members Forum and its members today (09).

Tents erected by the protesters were dismantled.

Ready to make any sacrifice

Meanwhile, addressing the LG members at Temple Trees, PM Mahinda Rajapaksa has said that he is ready to make any sacrifice for the people.

However, his address has said nothing about stepping down.

Political crisis

During the event, former Sri Lankan Minister Johnston Fernando has said that if PM Mahinda Rajapaksa resigns it would create a political crisis in the country.
