Two protesters summoned to ask about Mahinda’s thugs!

The Sri Lanka Human Rights Council has decided to summon two representatives of the Galle Face protest.

Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon was summoned before the commission yesterday (13) to inquire into the failure to uphold the rule of law during the series of violent incidents that took place at Galle Face on the 9th.

The HRC said that Senior DIG Deshabandu Tennakoon had explained at length the measures that were taken under his leadership to control the said incidents.

Based on the information that was revealed, the Human Rights Council had decided to summon two representatives from among the protesters at Galle Face to inquire into the incident.
