Suspect arrested for attacking MynaGoGama
A suspect who had attacked the peaceful protest in front of the Temple Trees last week, has been arrested, the police media states.
The suspect, a worker of the Moratuwa Urban Council, is a 49 year old resident of the Moratuwella area.
He was arrested by the CID on charges of assaulting a protest, causing damages to property and being part of an unwarranted gathering.
He was to be produced before the Fort Magistrate today (15).
The protest site in front of Temple Trees, initially known as 'MynaGoGama' had been calling for the former PM - Mahinda Rajapaksa to step down.
