AG orders the arrest of Johnston & 21 other over violence

The Attorney General has ordered the arrest of SLPP MPs Johnston Fernando, Sanath Nishantha, Sanjeewa Edirimanna and Milan Jayathilake over violence that erupted in Colombo on the 9th of May.

The Attorney General has ordered the arrest of Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Parliamentarians Johnston Fernando, Sanath Nishantha, Sanjeewa Edirimanna and Milan Jayathilake over violence that erupted in Colombo on the 9th of May.

The Attorney General has directed the Inspector General of Police and the DIG in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department to apprehend a total of 22 individuals including the Senior DIG-Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon over last week’s violence.
