Yoshitha and wife return to SL on Tuesday midnight
Former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa’s second son, Yoshitha Rajapaksa and his wife who left Sri Lanka on Monday, May 09th have returned to the country from Singapore on Tuesday midnight, through Bandaranaike International Airport’s (BIA) CIP Lounge, airport sources said.
Yoshitha and wife Nitheesha Jayasekera have arrived in the country on Singapore Airlines flight SQ468 at 11.47pm on Tuesday and had come through the special Silk Route CIP (Commercially Important Persons) Lounge of the BIA.
The couple who arrived clad in dark clothing with headgear on had been received by several personal aides outside the Arrival Terminal had then left in a private vehicle.
Yoshitha Rajapaksa left the country early morning on Monday, May 09th and in the latter part of the day an attack was made on the peaceful protest site ‘GotaGoGama’ by SLPP supporters which lead to a wave of retaliatory attacks across the country.
