Drop-in fuel orders, lament Tanker Owners

The Ceylon Petroleum Private Tanker Owners Association said that there is a considerable drop in the number of orders received for petroleum distribution

The Join-Secretary of the Ceylon Petroleum Private Tankers Owners Association Shantha Silva said that several filling stations are currently running out of fuel.

Meanwhile, the President of the All Ceylon Filling Station Owners Association Shelton Fernando said that despite the non-availability of fuel, the queues at filling stations have been increased.

Meanwhile, Minister of Power and Energy Kanchana Wijesekera said that there is NO other option but to register consumers at filling stations and issue a weekly quota to issue fuel.
