10 acres from Muthurajawela for LNG plant

Cabinet approval has been granted to discharge a 10-acre area near the Yugadhanavi power plant in Muthurajawela to the Ceylon Electricity Board to establish a 100MW LNG plant.

The plan to give the land to the CEB had earlier received the approval of the Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation and the CEB Director Board too, has approved the purchase.

Accordingly, the land has been evaluated by the Government Assessor and Cabinet approval has been granted to obtain the necessary monies from the CEB and discharge the land.
