Don't even take up a stone tomorrow - Anura Kumara Dissanayake

National People's Power (NPP) Leader - MP Anura Kumara Dissanayake has urged tomorrow's (09) protestors to be utmostly peaceful as any violence that breaks out could be beneficial to the government.

He emphasizes that protesters shouldn't even pick up a single stone during the protest tomorrow (July 09).

The NPP leader says that as a political movement, they have decided to extend support to the Galle Face protest movement tomorrow, which aims to oust the Ranil-Gota government.

Alleging that the government was attempting to respond to such movements by hampering public transport, MP Dissanayake said that it was not practical to be violent in the face of the protestors' fair demands. He pointed out that nobody but the government wanted violence.

Therefore, the government should not be given that advantage by giving into violence, he had further emphasised.
