Protestors asked to leave Galle Face site by 5pm on Friday

Police today (03) informed protesters at Galle Face to leave the premises by 5.00pm on August 05 (Friday).

In a statement, the police media unit said that all illegally set up tents and camps on set up on property of the government & Urban Development Authority as well as cultivations at the site must be removed by then.

The statement notes that those who do not comply with the instructions will be dealt with in accordance to the law.
