Norochcholai Unit 1 to be added to national grid from Monday

Unit 1 of the Norochcholai Coal Power Plant which experienced a breakdown on August 15, would be reconnected to the national grid from next Monday, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) said.

The Government Information Department said quoting Media Spokesman of the CEB that the engineers are engaged in the repair work at present.

Accordingly, 300 MW will be added to the main grid from Monday.
