Expressway Buses out of service from Sunday (20)

The Joint Transport Trade Union Center said that all Expressway Buses will not operate from Sunday (20).

Chairman of the Joint Transport Trade Union Center Sampath Ranasinghe told News 1st that this move is against the decision to impose an Rs. 200,000/- Tender Fee per month.

He went on to note that at times this fee increases to Rs. 300,000/- and it is operated by a mafia-type group.

He went on to note that an Expressway Bus Ticket can be reduced by Rs. 300/- and the benefit can be passed on to the passengers.
